ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA KELAS X.2 SMAN 1 SALIMPAUNG BERDASARKAN METODE KESALAHAN NEWMAN

Abstract


The background of this study is the lack of students‟ ability to solve problems in the form of
story about the material of system of linear equations of two variables. This study aims to
describe the most common mistake made in solving the story of students according to the
method of Newman and the factors causing them to make mistakes. This research is descriptive
quantitative and qualitative. Subjects were X.2 grade students of SMAN 1 Salimpaung many as
18 people. The research instrument used was the fault of students in solving the problem of tests
and interviews about the story. Instrument test developed by designing test, test and test the
validity of the test. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and
draw conclusions. The results indicate a read error is high enough and the error dikategorikaan
understand, the transformation, the skills and the process of writing the final answer
categorized as very high.
