Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

 

The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by an editor. It will be evaluated in the office, whether it is suitable for AL-ITTIFAQ: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw.

The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Single Blind Review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses. The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. The review process will take approximately 6 to 12 weeks. Decisions categories include:

Accept. Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications required.
Accept wtih Revisions. Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in IJRS under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by an editor to ensure necessary updates are made prior to publication.
Resubmit for Review. The submission needs to be re-worked with significant changes. It's may be accepted. However, It will require a second round of review.
Reject. Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to AL-ITTIFAQ.

All correspondence concerning manuscripts should be directed to the Editor of AL-ITTIFAQ. The Editor will direct all correspondence to the lead author; the lead author is responsible for sharing communications with other authors. Beyond communication concerning the review, manuscripts accepted for publication may require additional correspondence to complete copyediting and layout editing.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Plagiarism Screening

In publishing Al-Ittifaq strongly against any case of plagiarism on its own merits. Al-Ittifaq commits to deterring plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Papers found with such problems are automatically rejected and authors are so advised. Also, significant parts of the work have not been published.

Before the author submits the manuscript to Al-Ittifaq please at least check first for using a plagiarism checker. When submitting a published article for an originality check, Al-Ittifaq: Journal Ekonomi Syariah  recommends using Turnitin Plagiarism Scanner from http://turnitin.com. It is a totally free and easy-to-use step-by-step process. The similarity rate allowed in Al-Ittifaq a maximum of 25 percent. Before using Turnitin for the first time, we highly recommend that the author reads the instruction to use this plagiarism detector.
